Watch '92 NBA Dream Team: Michael Jordan vs. Magic Johnson

While Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson are probably somewhere still laughing at Kobe Bryant’s illustrious comment about 2012’s Dream Team ability to wax 1992’s Dream Team, a new video has surfaced, showing what that scrimmage may have looked like.

As 1992’s Dream Team prepared to kick but in Barcelona, a 20 year-old video has surfaced of a head to head scrimmage against Michael Jordan’s team and Magic Johnson’s team.

Jordan had Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin, Larry Bird, and Patrick Ewing, while Magic recruited Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, David Robinson, and Clyde Drexler.

According the segment ran by NBA TV, Michael Jordan’s team came up on top.

“Larry and I were talking,” Johnson said, “and Michael walks in, and he says, ‘There’s a new sheriff in town.’ And (Larry and I) both hit each other like, ‘Well, he’s not lying.’”
