Fans were treated to 20 minutes of previously unseen footage from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, but we also witnessed a sneak peek for the film.
The three-minute clip features some all-new scenes, including a few that the folks at the fan-fest Live Event did not get to see. As audiences were able to explore the final phase of additional shooting done in Wellington, New Zealand earlier this year, the third tease allows all to witness some stellar set-pieces in the popular J.R.R. Tolkien masterpiece.
You can watch the clip for yourself below:
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues to chronicle the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman) as he journeys with Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
Tolkiens and ring-worshippers alike will be able to witness Benedict Cumberbatch's menace (he plays Smaug the Dragon) when the desolation hits theaters in 3D, 2D and IMAX on December 13.
