Late-night legend David Letterman shall sign off his Late Night show for good in 2015.
The silver-haired talk show host, who will turn 67 next week, announced that he will be retiring alongside band leader Paul Shaeffer next year during last night's show (April 3).
"The question I get a lot is..'.How much longer you think you could be doing this?' and I say, 'When this show stops being fun, i will retire 10 years later,'" he joked.
With nearly 6,000 shows wrapped during 34-year broadcasting career, Letterman walked down memory lane and told a touching story about a funny conversation he had with his son about retiring.
Watch him announce his official adieu around the 8-minute mark above.
