With May fast approaching, audiences and cinephiles should be ready for the film festivals and their stellar cinematic offerings. After the break, you can get a detailed look at Magnolia Pictures’ latest documentary.

Directed and produced by Maiken Baird and Michelle Major (Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer), Venus And Serena will give interested onlookers an insider’s look at the unbelievable lives of Compton, California’s own treacherous tennis twosome. Prophesied to be great by their father, raised against all the odds in a sport where they were ready to be shunned, the Williams sisters faced their aggressors with an otherworldly regalia that allowed them to usher in a new wave for female and African American athletes everywhere.

Through sheer domination, the Williams sisters have conquered the world of sports, tennis, fashion, and entertainment for well over a decade—and there looks to be no end in sight. You can get a deeper look at Venus and Serena’s lives in this newly-released 3-minute featurette:

The film will feature interviews and confessionals from former President Bill Clinton, tennis greats Billie Jean King, John McEnroe, photography magnate Anna Wintour and plenty of others. Sam Pollard, who has worked alongside Spike Lee as his long-time editor, is the cut-man responsible for the Williams’ documentary flourishes.
