Bryan Fuller's much-anticipated TV series Hannibalwill catch fans up with the events of Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon and eventually go on to Silence of the Lambs and beyond.

According to EW, the first trailer for the upcoming drama series will focus "on the most popular non-supernatural killer in American movie history." The video below is a pretty cool tease to whet the appetite of cinephile fans. The clip includes one of the most darkly playful exchanges that you'll ever see on NBC — FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy): "I don't find you that interesting." Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen): "You will."
