“To blend in is not something that I seek to do anymore,” says the Accra, Ghana, West African MC. Witness his latest exciting audio adventure after the break!

Blitz the Ambassador has consistently worked his tail off to bring premium entertainment and excitement to Hip-Hop fans domestically and around the globe. After shining brightly on the game with his 2011 effort, Native Sun, the highly celebrated lyricist was awarded the Vilcek Prize earlier this year, along with Yo-Yo Ma as a foreign-born artist who has made outstanding contributions in the United States.

With legions of fans anticipating his next effort, Blitz returns with The Warm Up, an EP that serves as a prelude to his third full-length album entitled Afropolitan Dreams. That album, which is slated for release later this year, is the creativist’s most eclectic effort to date, and features guest appearances by Afro-German chanteuse, Nneka, Brazilian rap luminary Emicida, 20Syl from the renowned French turntable crew C2C, and more.

“Dikembe,” the lead single from the EP, gets another stellar visual treatment that finds Blitz paying homage to one of the NBA’s greatest shot blockers, Dikembe Mutombo.

Shot on location in Rabat, Morocco and written by Blitz, himself, the Optiks-produced track wonderfully serves notice to Hip-Hop haters that one of the game’s brightest stars has returned—and is not to be messed with in the paint.

Be sure to keep an eye out for The Warm Up EP when it drops August 2013.
