In celebration of Kanye West’s The College Dropout 10th anniversary, Billboard not only gathered insight from those who worked closely on the Chicago-native’s classic album, but also released footage of the then young emcee spitting a few bars from his song, “Never Let Me Down,” for Pharrell. The Oscar-nominated producer recorded an accurate expression upon hearing West’s wordage that is a must-see. Coodie and Chike, directors who worked intimately with the 36-year-old early on in his career, also contributed background details of West’s debut album within the 7-minute visual. Check it out above.
