Call Rick Rubin's contribution to Kanye West's forthcoming album Yeezus divine intervention but it's a collaboration that 'Ye deemed a learning experience.
"I’m still just a kid learning about minimalism, and [Rick's] a master of it," Kanye recently told The New York Times. "It’s just really such a blessing, to be able to work with him. I want to say that after working with Rick, it humbled me to realize why I hadn’t — even though I produced “Watch the Throne”; even though I produced “Dark Fantasy” — why I hadn’t won Album of the Year yet."
Watch rare footage of the two masterminds alongside veteran producer Mike Dean at work as 'Ye cranks out the vocals for "I Am A God" above. Yeezus descends June 18.
