Grammys night 2014 wasn't turning out the way many Kendrick Lamar fans had hoped. Up for seven Grammys, the "Poetic Justice" rapper lost to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in four categories -- Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album and Best New Artist -- only halfway through the show. But things would soon turn around for young K. Dot thanks to a little help from Las Vegas rockers Imagine Dragons, who won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance that evening (not to rub things in.)
In a mashup that recalled Jay Z's 2004 album with Linkin Park, Collision Course, Lamar and Imagine Dragons morphed rock and hip-hop into one. The two mixed the Imagine Dragons hit "Radioactive" with Lamar's "M.A.A.D City" off his Grammy-worthy album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. The result was both awesome and anthemic, and easily one of the night's best performances. Watch the two perform their "Radioactive/ M.A.A.D City" mashup below.
