Among the many highlights at last night’s Democratic National Convention was Michelle Obama’s speech on behalf of her husband and the man she fell in love with, President Obama.
“And the truth is, I loved the life we had built for our girls…I deeply loved the man I had built that life with…and I didn’t want that to change if he became President,” she reveals to the crowd during her speech. Garnering a standing ovation at the end, online, the heartfelt speech drove 28,003 tweets-per-minute at its peak on Twitter according to Mashable, doubling the mark hit by Mitt Romney’s speech last week.
