The Nappy Boy general returns to the front of the scene and he brings with him a dope new documentary that provides an insightful look into the world of T-Pain.
"We must all learn to adjust with our surroundings," T-Pain says, sharing an in-depth spotlight on his life, his music, his family, and his inspirations. "Those who get stuck doing the same things for too long are bound to get left behind the strong who press on and re-invent themselves."
The Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter decided to switch up things a bit by cutting off his iconic dreadlocks after exploding into the game with them nearly a decade ago. The end result was captured in photo (which you can see above) and shared with the world via Pain's Twitter and Instagram profiles. The unexpected move comes along with a new video documentary called "Know They Self," which you can see below, and shows the Tallahassee, Floridian doing his thing and showing just how down to Earth he is.
The detailed peek into Pain's life also includes interviews and testimony from close friends, family, industry elite, and co-workers who go on to co-sign the moves that he's made, as well as champion the sound he's pioneered.
The unique change in appearance also provided the talented performer the opportunity to announce an upcoming new album. "The name of my album is Stoicville: The Phoenix. A Phoenix represents new beginnings, a new era, a new life. I'm rising from the ashes." For those wanting to put a negative spin on T-Pain's latest and greatest, he had one more quote for any Debbie Downer, saying, "Also... Nappy is a state of mind, not an appearance. I'm still the Nappy Boy BossMan."
