Donald Sterling's alleged despicably racist rant has made it way around the Internet, and responses keep rolling in from fans, NBA players and celebrities. Up next with a few words for the L.A. Clippers owner is Lil' Wayne, who shared a video yesterday (Apr. 27) with his thoughts on Sterling, and how he would respond as a Clipper. He began with a concise message to Sterling:
"Fuck you. That simple, that easy,” he said.
The rapper then went on to detail how he would react had he been a current player for the Clippers, such as Chris Paul or Blake Griffin. He shared that Sterling's comments would be wholly unacceptable, and that he would no longer be able to play for the organization.
“If I was Clipper fan, I wouldn’t be one anymore, it’s that simple. But if I was a Clipper player - a current Clipper player - you wouldn’t see me on the court anymore in that uniform," he said. "An apology wouldn’t do for me, it wouldn’t work for me. A team meeting wouldn’t work for me. Locker room camaraderie, that wouldn’t work for me. I’d stand up for myself, and I’d understand that pride and respect isn’t a team sport. Those are the things you’re supposed to have within yourself: pride and respect.
If I played for the Clippers, the last game would have been my last game. Purple Yellow.
