Whitney Houston will embark on her first major tour in over 10 years in 2010.
"This is my first full tour since the 'My Love Is Your Love' tour in 1999 and I am so excited to be performing for my fans around the world after all this time," The "I Look To You" singer said in statement over the weekend.
Houston will play five dates in Europe, including shows in England and Scotland, during April of 2010.
"I am putting together a great show and cannot wait to perform the songs from my new album 'I Look to You' along with some of your favorites."
News of Houston's tour follows confirmation that she will indeed perform on The X-Factor, the British version of American Idol.
Following in the footsteps of Beyoncé and Britney Spears, Houston takes the The X-Factor stage Sunday (October 18).
Houston's tour kicks off in Manchester on April 8 before moving to Glasgow, Birmingham, Newcastle and London. She will also perform in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.
More information is expected to be announced this week.
Houston's latest album I Look To You debuted atop the charts in September. It has spawned the singles "I Look To You" and "Million Dollar Bill".
