Because It’s The Personification Of Grown Man Rap
For the grizzled hip-hop head that is past the days of blasting the boundless juvenile sounds of Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag,”  the 33-year-old Kanye has the remedy. You miss the heart-on-my-sleeve passion of Tupac? Check. The sobering eloquence of Miseducation-era Lauryn Hill? Check. The soaring lyrical craftsmanship of Andre 3000 (hurry up with that album, 3 Stacks)? Check again. Hey, don’t take our word for it. Soak in this moment-of-truth verse as Kanye taps into his own issues with the opposite sex: “Now you see I’m dating having problems of my own/Now that I’m grown, yo, the tables turned around/I never thought I’d raise another niggas’ child…You going to marry my mom?/Look, I don’t read palms, I don’t read psalms, but I did take little man to church, took little man school…” Greatness.
