Will Chris Rock & Melissa McCarthy Team up For a Romantic Comedy?

Chris Rock wants Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy to star alongside him as his wife in an upcoming romantic comedy he's writing.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Rock says, "I'm trying to romance her," about the untitled script ghag involves rodwy dysfunction -- a "Jerry Springer couple," as Rock put it.

There has been no confirmation of McCarthy's involvement just yet, but it would be interesting to see the two play together.

Both are very busy with their own projects these days. Rock is working on new stand-up comedy material and a screenplay, while McCarthy will be starring in a few upcoming big screen pictures.
