VIBE has been dropping the complete 411 on your favorite artists that will be taking over downtown Miami for Winter Music Conference 2013. As the days dwindle before we head down to the dance music mecca, VIBE brings you exclusive coverage and interviews to tide you over until the beats-bumpin', sun-blazing madness ensues. Hookin' you up as always, this time we are joining forces with StadiumRed and APA to bring readers the Perfecto and APA Pool Party at the Clevelander on March 22nd and Electric Splash at the Viceroy on 23rd.
Rocking three parties with VIBE is our old-time pals from Manchester, the EC Twins, who sat down to chat with us about the importance of condoms and how often they fall down, "we are rather clumsy." Stay tuned: this event has a special surprise guest.
VIBE: Craziest WMC/ Ultra Memory of all time?
EC Twins: Spinning the smallest stage at Ultra two years ago with only four people in the crowd. We played to those four people as if we were on main stage. It seemed to work because the next thing we knew we had an insanely packed room. People just poured in. Even we don't know how we did it.
Do you have a tip for WMC/Ultra first timers?
One tip. Come to an EC Twins show!
Best late-night greasy food joint?
Anywhere that serves food is good for us. We love food and are not fussy eaters. You will probably find us in Jerry's Deli a lot after shows just because it's near all the action.
Fave club to hear DJ's DJ music?
Any club that we are spinning at gets the thumbs up. Hyde at the SLS hotel for the exclusive vibe, Nikki Beach's "no sugar added festival" will be fun, we will be performing alongside Tommy Trash, Michael Wood, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike plus a ton of others. And at Bamboo Miami we will be with one EDM's Legends Paul Oakenfold. Check out http://ectwinsmusic.com/tour-dates/
Fave mega club? Hotel?
We love staying in and playing at them all. We don't have favorites.
Must-have piece of DJ gear for Miami?
Condoms. Oh, and Fresh house music.
Must-have accessory (hat, shades, shorts, etc?) for Miami?
Most embarrassing live performance moment? How did you recover?
We have fallen off the stage a few times. More painful than embarrassing. The show must go on even if one of us is bleeding or injured, which has happened. We are rather clumsy.
What can we expect from your sets this year at the shows?
The best fucking house music on earth delivered with more passion than you ever thought possible. WE LOVE HOUSE MUSIC! Every genre depending on the venue.
In three words finish this sentence: "March in Miami means to me:"
HOUSE FUCKING MUSIC!
