Former Fugees member Wyclef Jean is ready to tell-all.
Jean is planning to release a yet-to-be-titled tell-all memoir with Anthony Bozza, the author behind the Eminem's, Whatever You Say I Am.
Jean's book reportedly features information about his childhood in Haiti, his tumultuous upbringing in Brooklyn, and his even more tumultuous time with The Fugees.
"I am so happy to share my journey which took me from the hut to the projects to the mansion," Jean said. "I am just getting started and feel so excited about It Books publishing the early stories from my life."
Currently Jean is planning to release his newest effort, DJ Drama Presents Wyclef Jean AKA Toussaint St Jean From The Hut To The Projects To The Mansion. The DJ Drama mixtape will feature Eve, Lil Kim, Timbaland, Maino, and Cyndi Lauper.
'Clef's alias in the album title is a homage to Haitian revolutionary Toussaint L'Ouverture.
"I asked myself, who's the toughest guy out there? Then I said, Well, DJ Drama is pretty badass. So I called him and asked if he'd be interested in doing a mixtape. He heard what I was up to and he said, 'We gotta do a book - this is a novel!'" says Jean.
Wyclef is set to release a self-titled LP March 2010. --Linda Hobbs
