Most second-year students swap their concentration several times so treat the sophomore slump as a high note.

Most colleges house a career center that hosts panels and diverse seminars throughout the year for students to meet with individuals in a certain field. Even if your résumé mirrors a blank slate, use the tools you already possess like personality and educational background to win over a potential employer. Prep your elevator pitch by researching that person’s occupation and compliment them on an accomplishment you found inspiring. Being hands-on will reap benefits long after the firm handshake is done.
