Young Jeezy paused the turn-up during his Under The Influence tour performance in St. Louis, Missouri Tuesday night (Aug. 12) by dedicating his show to slain teen Michael Brown. While unarmed, the Ferguson 18-year-old was shot multiple times and killed by a police officer this past Saturday afternoon (Aug. 9). Protests and riots have ensued both online and off, with many pop culture notables weighing in, like actress Keke Palmer, President Barack Obama, and recently, Young Jeezy. Before taking the stage at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, the Atlanta rapper tweeted his thoughts about Brown’s passing and called for an end to the senseless killings.

Donning an “R.I.P. Mike Brown” shirt, Jeezy dedicated “Soul Survivor” to Brown, telling the crowd, “This what we gone do for Michael. Put your cell phones and your lighters in the air right now for his dreams. We gon light it up for him.”
