Young Jeezy is a free man after pleading not guilty to illegal gun charges. Steve Carless, president of Young Jeezy's label, CTE, and A&R at Atlantic Records, confirmed the news to Billboard.
The Atlanta rapper and five members of his entourage were hauled off to jail on Sunday (Aug. 24) after police discovered an AK-47 gun on his tour bus. Cops obtained a search warrant and inspected the bus after a 38-year-old man was shot and killed backstage during an "Under the Influence" tour stop in Mountain View, Calif. last week.
On Thursday evening (Aug. 28), Jeezy and his team were released after posting $1 million bail. He is also scheduled to appear in court for a pre-hearing trial three days after his new album, Seen It All: The Autobiography drops on Sept. 2.
