You may have heard the name “Young Steff” and wondered where I’ve been. There’s definitely been a lot of talk about me in the industry. I’ve had a crazy ride over the last 9 years. I was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records when I was 12 years old, which was a blessing. As the youngest member of the Roc, I learned a lot about the business early on. Yes, I was the kid that performed “Can I Holla” with Lil Bow Wow.
Time eventually led me to Richcraft/Atlantic Records, where I’ve grown even further as an artist and released singles such as “Slow Jukin’’” (do you know how to Juke?). I’ve had the opportunity to work with the best, but still haven’t been given that TV look, which is about to change. I’ll be performing on 106 & Park on May 19! I can dance, rap, write, choreograph, but at the end of the day what many people may not know is that I’m first and foremost, a singer. I’d like to reveal that truth on the 19th.
I’ve also been thinking about switching up my image. Call me Young Steff no longer. Call me YS! (it’s about the brand now, ya digg).
The BIG question though, is: Ladies, should I cut my hair? I need the opinion of my fans.
I have strong faith and believe that now is my time to show and prove. I’m ready to introduce YS to the world.
You ready for me?
