2014 is, so far, looking to be a good year for Atlanta rapper Young Thug, and here's why: 'Stoner,' what can be deemed as his breakthrough single, was released last summer, but the banger didn't catch steam until the new year thanks to Wale, who hopped on a remix. Others like Jim Jones and Iamsu! followed, but Young Thug wasn't too happy about that.
Push forward to his track "Danny Glover," which also garnered similar remixes and has found fans in Kanye West, Drake and Danny Brown. All of a sudden everybody knows the name Young Thug. And so, Young Thug is making moves to find a new home, possibly with fellow ATL rapper Future's Freebandz imprint.
During an interview with DJ Drama and DJ Don Cannon’s Streetz Iz Watchin radio show on Shade 45, Young Thug revealed he had his sights set on signing with Future's Freebandz imprint and that the two were getting ready to drop a single. Young Thug also plans to return with new mixtapes featuring his frequent collaborators PeeWee Longway and Rich Homie Quan.
2014 is gonna be a good one for Young Thug.
