Aite everyone has there reasons for bein on this, whether its for showin the beefs, or seein whos better outta the same style, like ti vs shawty lo, shawty lo is cool they rank him that way to play against t.i, is he good lyrically, hell no but hes entertaining...

The best rapper alive should have the highest avg in each category of bein an mc. You gotta be lyrical, you gotta be entertaining, u gotta have club bangers, u gotta have swag, u gotta be influential, songs for the ladies and gotta sell albums flat out etc... now some of these rappers on here r really good at one cat, but suck at the others, soulja boy and bow wow appeal to certain groups and they sell records thats y theyre on here, they will get a club hype, clubs that make 50-500 thousand a night, ppl dont go to the club to hear some deep real sh** they go to dance.. somebodies gotta do it, n thats y i dont hate on soulja boy, hes funny n entertainin, and then you got your lyricists.. cassidy, mos def, talib, common, raekwon etc, who are sick wen they get on mic and say some real stuff.. (cassidy sick at freestyle) but they cant mk good albums to the point where everyone is gonna be screamin their name, they only a typical group thatll buy their albums. and thats not good enuff to be the best rapper alive.. u can be sick but not the best... and thats y you dont see ne of the lyricists on here cuz theres already enuff. AZ, termanology, skyzoo, tech n9ne, etc aint good enuff to mk the list cuz they dont possess all the qualities u need in a good mc, they jus talented wen they talk, if u go to the club some of these b**chez wont even no who AZ is so thats not good, maybe in the future he'll get his name out. so all you ppl sayin y isnt blah blah on here and y is lil mama and soulja boy, first of all lil mama can spit, i dunno if ya heard her freestyles, a milli bein one, she jus makes cornya**songs, but it appeals to alot more ppl than alotta of these lyricists do.

Though i do think DMX and styles P shoulda been on here, maybe too short tho i dont really like him but bay area do.

But ne way the best rappers alive i think that posses all or if not most are lil wayne (love it or hate it he does) jayz, em, luda, fab, 50(love it or hate it), kanye andre, game and jeezy, i dont hate on them, i mite not like a song or 2, but they are the most consistent in the game,

my top 3 would be LUda he is so underated,
fab kills on the mixtapes, and mks songs for the ladies on the albums,
and wayne, wayne has alot of ppl on his tip, hes gettin kinda wack lately but tc3 was tite not omg its amazing but it was cool.

Point is stop wit all the hating on the rappers who r doin their thing.. hip hop aint dead, its changed a lil but its still here, radio just mks it seem like its dead, but either way im not a hater on particular music.. i mite hate a club banger and like a lyrical song, or i mite hate a lyrical song and love a club banger, it all jus depends how its presented.
