yea really there are a lot of rappers that do not even deserve to be on this shit. in 5 years ppl would have forgotten about ppl like soulja boy and lil mama and bow wow and shit.

oh yea guy below me forgot crooked i on that list

it is pretty hard to decide whos the best but ppl who changed the game and made history along with putting out genuine music should be considered the "best"
so jay-z, nas, crooked i.....i think are the top rappers

i wouldnt even be mad if crook lost to either one of them but crooked would rip theya**in a battle thats the trutthh

Top 5 MC's (lving): IN no particular order: Jay-Z, Nas, Common, Mos Def and Eminem. There are more that are up there with them. How do you chose who is better? By what the cd's sell? Soulja Boy sell more cd's than real lyricists because he put out that teeny bopper shit. A real lyricist don't because people can't figure out what he saying. AmeriKKKa is getting dumb! So like Lupe say"Dumb it down"

How can someone even say Luda or Ice Cube? Ice Cube?!?!? He fell off the game man. Get his new cd, Raw Footage. He is not living hip hop anymore, which if you think about it, half of them aren't. They all own companies and shit. you really think 50 Cent going to shoot someone because he disrespected? Hell no! If I had money to I wouldn't be like that. Very few artist out today still live by what they preach. Wayne being one of them. Jay Z, great lyricist, but he odn't live it no more. Don't talk about what you don't do. How can you talk like that when you sitting in a private jet and eatin caviar? I know he speaks on his experiences, but how many times can you say you sold crack, and busted guns? A lot of artists aren't growing with their music man. Real talk!

How can you even compare some of these people in here as the best lyricists? Put Eminem against Soulja Boy? Come on, is this bracket even fair? Some of the artists in here don't even deserve to be in this bracket. It's hard to pick the best lyricist when there are so many different attributes each one contributes. You can't compare a Nas to an Eminem or Lupe Fiasco. They have different styles and views on everything. There are people running the game and selling records, but when someone puts out 100 mixtapes and he's killing it, of course you buy the cd to make sure you heard everything that man has to offer, hence the one million selling album Carter 3. You put someone like Lupe Fiasco out there or somehting, everyone knows he ain't putting out mixtapes like Wayne, but lyrically, Lupe is far ahead of our time. Man, this bracket is garbage and real hip hop heads know, Soulja Boy, Trina, and a few others, ain't even MC's, they just rhymes!

Crooked I deserves to win this if you ask me. Dude has been spitting REAL lyrical Hip Hop for years now and through all the hardships he been through, he ain't give up! A real emcee does this for the love of it and that's Crooked I by definition. Dude gave the fans a YEAR of album quality tracks for FREE. Ain't no one do that, but someone who is in it for the MUSIC. If you ain't familar with his music, get familar, you don't know what your missing!

this is a tough subject. half of these artist are too commercial. instead of being possitive role-models representin' the struggle in our communities,they wanna be characters and portray this image that they know we cant all survive and make it. the best rapper are DEAD and we cant change that. like 2pac said "if i go,then the game is going back to party & bullshit !"
