So we’re taking the debate to the people, to you – fans, Stans, and pros alike. Introducing VIBE Presents…The Best Rapper Alive, an interactive, NCAA-style tournament pitting the 64 top Mcs recording today against each other in a head-to-head competition: All this to determine who you believe to be the best in game.
The first round of voting begins July 21. Each round lasts one week – followed by our version of The Final Four. That’s when the tournament really heats up. Winners of each matchup will be determined by your vote at VIBE.com.
There are four brackets, represented by four of our fallen rap legends. Click on any one of them to begin voting. You can vote once a day for as many days as you like. At the end of five weeks, we’ll crown a king or queen, and the winner will be announced in our November issue.

Its simple ... not even tryin 2 hate on any rappers but seriously, this guy has it all ... lyrics, production, the dream team, performance and creativity. Im talking about EMIN3M!
Honestly people, you can't say he hasn't been original. He never says he's a gangster, the hardest or hes filthy rich and never raps that he's the King of rap.
Why do weezy, T.I and many other rappers claim the throne ? Let the music and fans do the talking, it's plain ignornat.
Same ol'**itto, guns money n b**ches, eminem brought and still brings something different to the game.
When he returns in the New Year with King Mathers, it'll be his biggest album yet, it'll be a classic coz he don't put out whack albums, he's a perfectionist and workaholic.
How can the likes of Cam'ron, T.I, Lil' Wayne etc ... even dare claim the throne when legendary rappers have been doing it consistantly for years ? The likes of Ice Cube, Snoop, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Outkast, Nas and so many more before them ..... it's rediculous.

they want u to buy the damn magazine for the results it's just a marketing ploy.........
bottom line if you think Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Plies, etc... are the best rappers alive then PLEASE for the sake of Hiphop turn OFF your radios and get online and look for some underground artists...... once you start listening to them you'll realize who the best MC's are.........

Em>Jay....
EM isn't better than Jay just because of Renegade he is better because he did more than Jay-Z did with only 5 albums while Jay needed 12. Jay takes to many Biggie lines. Yes he can be upping his homie but instead of taken all his lines and using them to make money do a dedication song.

I found this review, it pretty much sums up how i feel about lil wayne:
Lil Wayne – The Leak EP
Well someone pointed out to me that if I didn't like Tha Carter III's raps, that I should check out The Leak EP, which contained "some of the best tracks" that "should have made it to the album", stressing that this 5-track EP could change my perception on Lil Wayne.
Before I even start, I want to just showcase some of his lyrical talents (I just typed these by listening to them and writing what I heard, so forgive me if they are off:
"Cash money million-heir (clever) to the throne / Going at their heads like hair in a comb / Sitting by the window I just stare at the stone / Yo Imma get through it like hair in a comb"
The chorus to said track:
"b**ch I'm me / I'm me / I'm me / Baby I'm me / So who you / You're not me / You're not me / And I know that ain't fair / But I don't care / I'm a muthaf**kin Cash Money millionaire / I know dat ain't fair / But I don't care / I'm still a muthaf**king Cash Money millionaire / b**ch"
Yeah. Is there seriously any question that he doesn't write his own stuff? Is it THAT hard to believe that someone over the age of fifteen could pen that? Oh, here's my favorite:
"(referring to being 70 or something) That's when I can't hold my**itwithin / So I**iton myself / Cuz I'm so sick and tired of shitting on everybody else"
You be thinking that this just is collecting the worst of the EP to make it look like it's all bad. Ha, if only it were that. This is all just from the first track. Originally I was just going to make the review a gigantic list of lyrics from this EP, but by the time the first track finished I had eight quotes already – no idea how many would be on the list by the end of the album.
I would like to point out that once again, the production and backing instrumentals were perfect. Like I said in my Tha Carter III review, I wanted to listen through the songs just because of how greatly they were made instrumentally. I actually think these tracks (except the final, fifth track), were better, from a production stand-point. This makes the EP very listenable.
However, being that Lil Wayne is claiming he is the best rapper, not "the best guy in finding awesome beat-makers for my raps to make them sound good", he completely proves once again that he is anything but that. To end this review, I will leave one final rap quote from the genius himself, Weezy:
"I've been through it all / The (fields?), the falls / I'm like Niagra / But I got right back up like Viagra"
