Due to family issues, and the separation of his parents, FITF was reduced to not going to church as much by the age of thirteen. Though FITF’s roots were deep into gospel/church music, the influence of the world took him under its wing. Even with hard times, FITF”s mother kept him close to her, and became her music student. She would quiz him on dusty joints, the melody, the artists, name of songs, and sometimes the year. She understood and cultivated the passion of her son. Music became an outlet for FITF.
At the age of 12 William started to realize that the tunes on the radio weren’t too off of what his hands were playing on the piano. Having a grandmother who taught herself how to play the piano and played for church and funerals; a professional jazz piano player for a grandfather, it wasn’t hard to see where FITF got the special unique touch. At fifteen, William’s mom decided to take it to the next level of things, and unlike any other Christmas William got something special. Nothing thus far would top the unexpected life changing, first keyboard. He cherished it and that was just the beginning. Making tracks for all the rappers and singers in the neighborhood, FITF became a hood star. Recognized for his talents, he met close friends, stayed out of young man troubles, and was able to gain more expensive equipment at the expense of his talents. Two Triton keyboards, a computer, free pro studio time and eight years later, FITF is ready to rule what has ruled his life since the beginning of time, MUSIC.
