VIBE Media Group is seeking dynamic interns to work with various departments of VIBE and VIBE Vixen magazines. An internship with VIBE and VIBE Vixen will allow aspiring students to apply classroom skills in a stimulating real-life workplace.

Interns make big contributions to both magazines. VIBE Media Group wants individuals who are keen on today’s pop culture. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented and reliable and must have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, the desire to work hard, and be a team player. This is an opportunity to be a part of VIBE as we document and make history.

An internship with VIBE/Vixen will allow students to gain insight into the inner workings of magazines, from editing to production to advertising and marketing. It’s a great chance to network with and learn from magazine publishing trailblazers.

To qualify, candidates must be enrolled in either a two- or four-year college program.

You must provide written verification from your school that you will receive college credit for this internship.

All internships are on a part-time basis and are for college credit only (unpaid). No stipend will be provided.

ONLINE INTERN

Job Description: VIBE seeks online interns to assist in content production and other duties associated with creating content for and maintaining Vibe.com. We seek individuals with strong writing skills, some knowledge of HTML, experience using a CMS, and familiarity with graphics manipulation. Excellent research skills are also valued for this position. Some administrative duties will be required. ART INTERN

Job Description: VIBE Media Group is seeking dynamic interns to work with the Art of VIBE magazine. An internship with VIBE will allow aspiring students in art to apply classroom skills in a stimulating real life workplace. VIBE Media Group wants individuals who are keen on today's pop culture. Candidates must also be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. This is an opportunity to be a part of VIBE as we document and make history. An internship with VIBE will allow students to gain insight into the inner workings of a magazine, from editing to production. Responsibilities will include scanning, printing, research and occasionally layout/design pages of the magazine. This is a great chance to network with and learn from creative art and photo editors. MOBILE CONTENT/TECH INTERN

Job Description: VIBE magazine has entered the world of wireless content full-force with Mobile VIBE, a downloadable application that delivers music news, reviews, gossip, ringtones, and much more direct to mobile phones on major-carrier networks like Verizon and AT&T. VIBE founder Quincy Jones calls VIBE ''the voice and soul of urban culture,'' and Mobile VIBE is raising that voice within this new frontier of technology. VIBE is seeking interns to assist VIBE's Mobile Editor in developing and managing content for Mobile VIBE. Applicants should have a love for urban music and culture, solid writing skills, an understanding of basic HTML code, and a willingness to tackle new code terminology native to wireless platforms such as WAP and BREW.
