It’s hard to believe that “Spitta” was once Young Money’s next best thing. Since his departure from YMCMB, the New Orleans marijuana enthusiast has been making a name for himself with his smooth delivery and calming demeanor. His collaborative effort with Wiz Khalifa, “How Fly”, generated a great deal of attention towards the New Orleans MC. The tape’s melodic and relaxing tone made it a perennial success amongst weed smokers. While Curren$y’s biggest commercial success came with Young Money (Where Da Cash At?), it is evident that he has no regrets. Through working under his own business intellect, Curren$y operates as an esteemed member of the Jet Life. Weekend at Burnie’s, his sixth studio album is set to release June 28^th, 2011. Also look out for Pilot Talk III to drop sometime this year.
