The Chi-town bred rapper, often labeled as anti-establishment, made his rise to fame in 2006 with his album Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor, which received three Grammy Nominations. His second album, Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool, helped him reach Billboard’s Hot 100, where the lead single “Superstar” peaked at number 10. Lasers, his third album, produced another Billboard 100 hit. “The Show Goes On” peaked at number 9 on the chart. Lupe proves to be a man of many hustles. The rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur is the CEO of 1st and 15th Entertainment, has designed sneakers for Reebok and runs the clothing lines Righteous Kung-Fu and Trilly & Truly. He also performs as the lead of rock band Japanese Cartoon under his real name. Fiasco is planning the release of his new album, Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1.
