At 39 years old, Snoop is still as successful as he’s ever been. The release of his album aptly entitled Doggumentary was a success, selling 50,000 copies in its first week on shelves. With producers from the likes of Lex Luger to Kanye West lining up to work with the Dogg, it’s clear that Snoop is still in high demand. His newfound friendship with Wiz Khalifa has opened up the doors to yet another cinematic endeavor. After tearing up the silver screen with prominent roles in Soul Plane and Starsky and Hutch, Snoop and Wiz will be starring in High School. The film and coinciding album pit the two rappers as students with an excessive passion for marijuana. In addition to this collaborative project, Snoop also has his sights set on television—and has pitched a talent competition to major networks that would seek to find America’s most skilled “hood artists”. It’s been a busy year for the Doggfather, and it doesn’t seem like he’s stopping his hustle anytime soon.
