With the release of Self Made Vol. 1, it seems as if Wale’s affiliation with Roc Nation and Interscope Records are simply memories. After his quality first effort, Attention Deficit, dropped in the winter of 2009, Rick Ross picked up on the remarkable flow and quick wit of DC’s pride and joy. Subsequently, Wale was made an integral member of the “unstoppable Maybach empire”. The success of MMG’s first collaborative project has the Nike Boots rapper on his grind. Word on the street is Wale’s second solo album is slated to drop September 27^th—a busy year for one of hip-hop’s up and comers. Although he’s had his fair share of success in the game, look for Wale to do some serious paper touchin’ in the near future.
