Breakthrough: As one of the first acts to sign with the historic hip hop label Loud Records, Twista (originally known as Tung Twista) released several solo albums in the 1990s as well as a project with his group Speedknot Mobstaz. But his first taste of real commercial success came in 2004 with the release of Kamikaze (Atlantic), which sailed to the top of The Billboard 200 album chart thanks to the Jamie Foxx and Kanye West-assisted lead single, “Slow Jamz.”

Now You Know: Twista was recognized as the fastest rapper in the world by Guinness World Records. In 1992, it credited him with being able to rap 11.2 syllables per second.
