Breakthrough: MC Eiht first emerged in 1990 as leader of the legendary West Coast rap group Compton's Most Wanted, but he is perhaps best known for his work on the film Menace II Society (New Line, 1993)—on screen, his character, ''A-Wax,'' played a central role in the film, while off screen, his contribution to the soundtrack, ''Streiht Up Menace,'' would go on to become his biggest hit.
Now You Know: For years, MC Eiht was engaged in a long-standing beef with fellow Compton gangsta rapper, DJ Quik. The two put the dispute to rest when Snoop Dogg brought them together in the early '00s.
