Breakthrough: As a one third of De La Soul, along with Trugoy and Mase, Pos rose to quick stardom with "Me, Myself & I," which topped the R&B and dance charts. The song, the group's biggest hit, was the first single from their classic debut 3 Feet High and Rising (Tommy Boy, 1989), which changed the game with its sample-heavy production, lyrical non sequiturs, and do-what-you-like attitude. After a career of critically acclaimed albums, De La won a Grammy in 2005 for "Feel Good Inc." a collaboration with the Gorillaz.
