Fun Fact: On March 5, 2008, Fantasia confirmed to MTV News that Oprah Winfrey has casted her as Celie in the silver screen adaptation of “The Color Purple” musical. A musical version of the Steven Spielberg classic that was made famous twenty years ago. Fantasia revealed the movie will begin production after the release of her third album.
