Originally a scene for unsigned and undergound rock artists to showcase their talent and learn the business, the SXSW Music conference has become a key stop for hip-hop heads. Last year Kanye, Common, Estelle, Janelle Monae and as host of other well-known urban artists left an huge impact and as a result exposed themselves to a new audience.
