FIFA Street 2

Wrong. Last year’s FIFA Street was met with a wide array of disappointment. The problems ranged from the music and annoying announcer to the gameplay and lack of innovative tricks. So when the announcement came down that there would be a sequel to the game, it was a surprise for everyone. So is it better a second time around? A little bit. Audio/Visual: The great thing about FIFA Street 2 is that they got rid of the announcer and just let cats play to some high energy dance and hip-hop tunes. The only time anyone speaks is when you’re going through the menus and it’s just a DJ introducing a song. Visually the game looks pretty good. The animations of the players are excellent. The movement up and down the field and the way the pull of tricks looks fluid and smooth. There’s no jagged motion that was prevalent in last year’s game. The fields (which you really want to call courts), look pretty good as well, even though you’re mostly playing on concrete. It would have been nice if they could have changed it up a bit and have cats play on some grass, dirt or mud, like real urban soccer in the hoods of South America. left Controls: The controls are pretty simple and compare to that of NBA Street. You use the right analog stick to pull off tricks along with the use of the triggers and some of the buttons. One of the cool things you can do this time around is juggle the ball using your feet, knees, shoulders and head. The longer you go, the more skill points you can rack up. Once you get it down, it could be pretty fun. Hotness: There’s a whole bunch a fresh tricks that you could perform to juke out your opponent when running down the field and taking a shot on goal. Wackness: The wackness here really is the gameplay. It really tries to be like NBA Street with a soccer ball instead of a basketball. So in essence the true feeling of soccer isn’t really there. It really is just a bunch of tricks and shots on goal. It needs something more.
