Fight Night Round 3

There isn’t much you can make better (unless you get the Xbox 360 version). The changes made however, are with the controls, some of the strategy, and some of the options in the game modes. But were the improvements necessary at all and does it even make the game better? Audio/Visual: With this sequel, the audio and visual are the one that changed the least. The graphics are practically the same as last year’s title, so there’s really no disappointment here because the look holds up (you get cool facial expressions in the Xbox 360 version). The soundtrack isn’t too bad, it’s mostly hip-hop stuff, but it gets real repetitive and none of the songs really stand out. They don’t get you amped up and they don’t want to make you head to the record store to buy it. The commentary get s a little bit annoying too. Done mostly by Joe Tessatore, it also gets repetitive and sometimes you don’t even know who or what he’s talking about. left Controls: The folks at EA have changed around a few things when it comes to how you fight. Last year’s game made it real easy to throw that knockout punch they call “Haymakers”, but this year, you have to earn it. By using the right analog stick to jab, uppercut and throw hooks, you have to wear out your opponent before throwing the “Haymaker”, and it’s definitely worth it. After a few fights, you get more familiar with how to throw combos, plus defend which is real important. If you’re a button masher, you will lose everytime. Hotness: The best way to play this game is with someone else. The multiplayer game modes will have you and your boys (or girls) playing for hours with enough action to spur trash talk for days. Wackness: The single career mode is pretty easy and at some point you may wan more of a challenge. Good thing there’s Xbox Live for you to get busy on.
