The Godfather

The game begins with you roleplaying as an extra in the movie. You get to create your own mob look, from facial features to clothes. Once the game starts, you meet the Don quite early and start putting in work to rise up the ranks in the family and later in the game. And then, hopefully under good circumstances you get to meet the Don again. Will you avoid being whacked and become the boss of your own family? Audio/Visual: The game’s soundtrack is basically the same soundtrack as the film. It plays throughout the entire game, and you may get tired of it, but hey it’s the Godfather, you must respect it! For voice acting Marlon Brando, James Caan and Robert Duvall all participated in replaying their parts as Don Corleone, Sonny Corleone, and Tom Hagen. EA did a good job with the look of the game especially in replicating 1940’s New York and the vehicles to go with it. The character models are excellent as well looking like their real life movie counterpart. left Controls: The controls are a mix of EA games. The fighting is similar to Fight Night 3 with use of the analog stick and triggers to smack folks up. The shooting system is similar to 007 Everything or Nothing with the similar aim and movement but not as tight. It’s still better than most. Hotness: Extortion, baby! The game allows you to enter local businesses and… offer your protection services for a small fee. If they don’t want to, you can always make them an offer they can’t refuse. You can also take over rackets that in same building like bordellos and gambling houses. It all adds up in your weekly earnings, of course after you kick back money to the family, Wackness: The only negative thing really is the game is a Grand Theft Auto clone. Yes, you can jack cars, the city is a free roaming entity, there are dozens of side missions, and you can beat up and rob people on the street for no apparent reason. This actually might be a good thing for those anxious for another GTA game, but for those tired of the GTA world, you might want to skip it all together.
