Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar Games)

Storyline: When the Grand Theft Auto series sent 3-D a few years ago, the video game industry went nuts. Dozens of copycats were sent to store shelves with hopes of getting the same numbers that GTA III and GTA: Vice City racked up. For its new title, the GTA series heads out west to San Andreas, a mock up of California with cities Los Santos (Los Angeles), San Fierro (San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas). The story takes place in the early 90’s and revolves around CJ, a gang banger who spent the past few years chilling in Liberty City and is now back home to his old hood to find out who murdered his mother. Halo 2 (Microsoft)

Storyline: In 2001, Halo took the videogame world by its neck and became the best first person shooter on a console since N64’s Goldeneye in the '90s. Unequivocally the best selling game on the Xbox, the sequel has a lot to live up to. Seemingly, the developers of the game went in with the mentality, ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’, and returned with only a new story, a few new weapons and features and Xbox Live playability.
