Anonymous Claims Responsibility for GoDaddy Outage

GoDaddy is under attack!

According to TechCrunch, the big-name web domain and its sites were kicked offline by a member of Anonymous known as AnonymousOwn3r.

The individual’s profile reads “Security leader of #Anonymous (~Official member~),” who seems to be Brazil-based. No word yet as to why GoDaddy became a target but the person did tweet “I’m not anti go daddy, you guys will undestand because i did this attack.”

Many customers fired their complaints Monday, to which the official GoDaddy Twitter responded that they were working to resolve it. A source says that the technical reason for the failure is being caused by the inaccessibility of GoDaddy’s DNS servers.

We wish you a speedy recovery, GoDaddy.
