Country Stars Roast Kanye West at CMAs

Kanye West is a huge star amongst country singers...when it comes to being the butt of jokes.

At last night's Country Music Awards in Nashville, Kanye West was served ether by several country artists who jokingly took to task his bum rushing Taylor Swift at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The jokes began when CMA co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley performed "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys."

"Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Kanye," they sang. "Let them pick guitars and drive them old trucks, 'cause cowboys have manners, they don't interrupt."

Later on in the show, as Paisley began to talk about his video "Welcome To The Future," and thank the production team, 88-year-old country legend Little Jimmy Dickens walked out onstage and grabbed the mic.

"Excuse me! Excuse me sir ... I'll let you finish later," Dickens said, "Now Brad Paisley, I know you had a nice video and all that, but Taylor Swift made the best video of all time!"

The final jab came when Swift got up to receive her award for Best Female Vocalist.

"I want to thank every single person in this room tonight for not running up on this stage during this speech," she said. "Thank you." --Linda Hobbs

    You know the man sincerely apologized and even took a break from his career after he sobered up and reflected on what he did! He appeared "authentic" when he apologized the first, second, and third time.
    This is a good example of how unforgiving our society is. What he did was in poor judgment but what everyone else did during this award show was in poor spirit and plain tasteless (ESPECIALLY Taylor Swift) She has been taking any opportunity to chastise him lately. Besides---Didn’t she accept his apology after he apologized for the umpteenth time? Leave him alone already!!!
    And FYI I'm not a K. West fan and I don’t think what he did was o.k. but he is still a person and deserves to be treated like on. He should be forgiven and all these people need to grow up!!
    And come on....Brad Pasiley has the nerve to sing a song about K. West not having manners? Where are his?

  • Isn't easier (and doesn't it just make us all feel better) if we brush off the CMAs as hick awards?

    I know I feel better.
