Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Young Jeezy, Bono, and Martha Stewart were some of the celebs that came out to party Thursday night for Sean "Diddy" Combs' 40th birthday bash.

Diddy and crew showed up at The Grand Ballroom at The Plaza Hotel in New York for the black-tie affair, which was packed out and star-studded. The birthday boy hired Bronson Van Wyck to plan out the event, which included a special performance by Al Green, who sang "Love and Happiness," and DJ D-Nice, DJ Cassidy, Q-Tip, DJ Kid Capri, and Doug E. Fresh, on the ones and twos.

"I'm still laying down," pop personality Kenny Burns, who's been attending Diddy parties since 'the Howard days,' told VIBE. "That party... besides myself, Puffy is probably one of the premiere event throwers," he says. "He had it snowing in there, it was like some other shit. He had some ballerina dancers as live statues as you walked in. He had Trey Songz sing the birthday song. And the venue was retarded."

"Puffy turning 40 is like an end of an era almost," he continued. "It was like a family reunion." --Linda Hobbs
