Former NBA center Jayson Williams, has agreed to a plea deal Thursday for a shooting death of a driver at his estate in 2002.

According to the Associated Press, Williams, a former big man for the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets, is set to plead guilty on Friday for aggravated assault. Williams is expected to serve at least 18 months behind bars.

In 2002, Williams made headlines after his 55-year-old limo driver Costas "Gus" Christofi, was gunned down at Williams' home in New Jersey. Williams was reportedly playing with a shotgun in his bedroom, when it fired and hit Christofi in the chest, killing him. Several witnesses testified that after Williams fired the gun, he put it in Christofi's hands and told those present to lie about what happened.

Christofi's sister, Andrea Adams, says she wants Williams to do more than three years.

"I would like to see him do jail time," she said. "I don't know if that's enough time." --Linda Hobbs
