Erykah Badu Requests A ‘Window Seat’

Clover Hope / February 7, 2010

Erykah Badu travels back in time to Baduizm with this laidback groove and soothing melody that sounds like Aretha Franklin’s “Day Dreaming.” With a dreamy jazz rhythm behind her, the eclectic one sings about “tusslin’ back and forth between here and hustlin’.” The song, off the upcoming New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh, is made for Sunday mornings or long flights, preferably in the window seat and not next to Sir Talks A Lot.
