On his diverse debut, Mark Ronson serves a crowd-pleasing variety of hip hop, rock, and club anthems. The VIP list boasts Sean Paul and Tweet having lighthearted fun on “International Affair” and Nappy Roots on the funky, country hoedown “Bluegrass Stain’d.” Meanwhile, the upbeat “Ooh Wee” is an uninspired collaboration between Nate Dogg and Ghostface. Here Comes the Fuzz won’t rock your world, but with tight, danceable production and a colorful cast of characters— from Anthony Hamilton to Mos Def to M.O.P.—it certainly is arresting.
