In 2003, Al Green and producer Willie Mitchell reunited after 27 years and came up with the acclaimed album I Can't Stop. Two years later, the rejuvenated duo has returned with the aptly titled followup Everything's OK. Nothing could be more comforting than the spineshivering, deep-soul balladry of "Build Me Up" and "You Are So Beautiful." And the swinging stepper's groove "Everything's OK"— check out the ecstatic falsetto—recalls the days we really did it for love. Green puts a touch of class on Everything's, which is way, way better than just "OK."
