With enough street bravado and smooth charisma to fill every inch of his 6'6" frame, Slim Thug is finally releasing his oft-delayed debut, Already Platinum. Stacked with a gang of explicit and infectious cuts, the album is sure to help the baritone-voiced MC standout. A luminary of Houston's lucrative underground scene, Slim boasts about his lavish lifestyle on the tuba-heavy lead single, "Like a Boss." And on the stadium crowd–pleasing "Love This Game," he declares, "I'm the big ticket, the new franchise. Check my stats, I ball harder than them other guys." But not without help. Slim is backed by an all-star roster of guests — Lil Jon, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and T.I. — but they don't overshadow his larger-than-life persona. With his leisurely vocals, Slim creates a Snoop-esque chemistry with Pharrell on the title track and makes the best of Jazze Pha's pimpalicious sound on "Incredible Feeling." Slim's worldly sensibilities make the pensive moments on the album both heartfelt ("Dedicate") and heady ("The Interview"). All the while, he keeps his Teflon status intact — without telling any tall tales.
