Although The Hardestlacks the brilliant conceptual focus of his last effort, A Grand Don’t Come for Free, the Streets’ candid talk about sex with crack-smoking pop stars, the systematic destruction of hotel rooms, and the American propensity to shoot our musicians (and in the case of John Lennon, British ones, too), make for a thoroughly entertaining listen.
