Omarion's vocal range isn't very large but I do think he does well within his his two octaves or so. However I completely disagree with the comment saying that Michael Jacksons vocal range isn't very large. His was over 3 octaves reaching from middle 2 notes well into d5 without struggle, although a good octave range definately doesn't make a good singer.. sorry mariah

He is one of the hottest male r&b artists and to have been through the things he has, your not giving him enough credit. Personally i love all his songs on "21" and as for Omarion's voice...he has a perfectly nice voice tone and he does not lack tack talent at all. He's just as good as a singer as Chris Brown or NeYo

What you said about the album was a little too harsh. I mean, to be honest, I actually thought the "O" album was better than the 21 album, but I still believe there were some pretty good tracks on 21. And it's fine that you have your own opinion, but a lot of the stuff you said in that review was uncalled for. I mean, think about all of the other artists who don't have a large vocal range. For example, Ciara. Not to bash on Ciara, but I honestly don't think she has such a great voice, but look at all of the publicity she gets; as well as all of the support she gets. It may be because she's a great dancer, but so is Omari. So you can't just go and attack his vocal range, especially by comparing it to Chris Brown's. Now I love Chris, but like Ciara and Omarion, I believe his dancing is so much better than his singing. So no comparison there. But overall your review was way too harsh. This is only Omari's second album without the other B2K members. Why not cut him some slack like all other performers? And most of it is probably due to TUG anyway.

i think this album deserves a better review..ppl are claimin his vocal range isnt that strong but i can count a million and one singers who's vocal range is practically non-existent. i just think that his b2k days have left him with a stigma, one that just becuz he was in a boygroup that he's unable to mature and be the artist he's capable of being. michael jackson, ciara, janet jackson, aaliyah, cassie and many others dont have the largest vocal range yet ppl are willing to cut them slack, how much of a double standard is that? truth be known that Omarion has charisma, charm and dancing abilities that will out do any form of doubt when it comes to his 'range' ... so what ever the case, if ppl think that this album is 'weak' let me tell u that he's gonna outselll and carring on being blessed with or without ppls approval. stay blessed and prosper. im out.

i think the album is ok, not great some tracks on there should have been dropped... they were kind of corny. predictable is one word that can be used. thank god for pharrell & timberland they kind of saved the album... omarion can do better he just needs freedom from that tight ass mangement. i hope he leaves them sooner rather than later.

i think that wat u says is totally unreasonable because to me Omarion has the voice to melt any girls heart and the singing of emotional songs Omarion does a hell of alot Better than chris brown and Ne-yo i'm not tryin to talk bad about them but thats just my opinion so u can take what i said into consideration or u can shove it.Have You Ever Been With a Star is my favorite song and for you to talk bad about the songs makes me upset because every body doesn't express there love or themselves the same way as others.Omarion happens to be one of the best love expressing person to write a song since Gerald Levert, luther Vandross, Barry White, and many more. For omarion to actually express his deep true feelings that many of us might not kno about gets 2 thumbs up and 5 stars in my book. To me CB only talk about mostly teenage relationships and omarion is older than CB and more experinced and for you to put them in the same category you got issues.

Damien. . i'm not even going to voice my opinions on how i view omarion as an artist . . instead . . lets review your review. For you to say that the subjects of omarion's tracks are over done is b.s. Neyo and chris brown, hell any singer thats ever sung about love in any genre will always have the girl-meets-boy theme, the we've-come-to-an-end theme, the themes that crop up again and again in relationships. Thats not his fault thats just the way love goes. And for you, as a professional writer, to end a review with the line that you did, shows that maybe you yourself are in a state of 'arrested development', cos that sure doesn't show any maturity. Don't get personal like that, keep to the facts, keep your claws in, and maybe your next review won't receive such a wack backlash.

Hey I too have to disagree with your review, Omarion is one of the best performers out there and by far the best dancer out of them all. I think he can sing really well but since he has that mild rusty sounding voice (can't find the exact description but you know what I mean), he can't really hit high notes that well and he really has to force it out and does it well. You know he sings from the heart though and thats why I and many others love him.

I disagree with this review!!!!!!!The 21 cd is great. It is very adult and easy to relate to. I listen to it constantly at work and in my car. I even downloaded a few of the songs onto my cell phone to listen when I am walking around the house. Omarion has done it again and is to be commended not hated on.

First off I dont totally agree with the author of this article, but i dont exactly disagree. I was a huge fan of B2K and their music. I do think Omarion is probably is trying to grow as an artist but COME ON!!! He's grown and still making music for 15 & 16 year old girls and though i am 15 i dont see his music as being all that i see it as being sugar coated pop, i expected that from B2K, they were teenagers. As you age, your fans age, and as that happens your music is supposed to evolve. What is he going to do when his fans grow up? But of course i still support him so i'll get my grumma to buy his cd for me. And his singing isnt completely horrible but i have heard better. Someone said something about Omarion opening doors for Sammie but its actually the other way around Sammie first came around 7 years ago and was really successful but put his career on hold for school and i guess a normal childhood.

hmm omarion may not be the best singer at times his voice is very whiney... but i disagree with this review, his vocals have improved and the songs on this album are 10 times better than the mess he did with b2k etc. he's maturing, ice box is by far his best song yet. i think his reputation as a teen star has kinda tarnished some ppls views considering his talent... yea he WAS real manufactured when he 1st came out but he's stepping up now, i mean give credit where its due, its a pleasent album to play through not fantastic or dope but its cool not the total mess that u claimed it to be....
BUT i do agree with ur last statment, i dont think his managment have let him fly yet... theres some major leashes when it comes to chris stokes.
